TERCERA MOVILIDAD A HELSINKI, FINLANDIA
PRIMER DÍA DE NUESTRO CURSO
José Antonio Amaya y Carmen Carrera han viajado a Helsinki, capital de Finlandia, a realizar un curso “Learning outside the classroom” (Aprendizaje fuera de la clase).
El curso forma parte de nuestro tercer proyecto Erasmus, “Plantfulness”.
El objetivo es aprender a utilizar la educación en el exterior para proporcionar a los alumnos un tipo de aprendizaje real, una educación novedosa y actual, aprendiendo a conocer y disfrutar de su entorno, no sólo en la naturaleza sino en otros lugares fuera del edificio escolar.
Este enfoque educativo ha ido creciendo en popularidad en el Reino Unido y los países nórdicos. Actualmente existen muchos educadores que están apostando por incluir en el currículum la educación fuera del entorno formal de aprendizaje.
Somos un grupo de dieciocho profesores. Hoy hemos expuesto nuestras escuelas a través de una presentación y compartiendo la identidad de nuestro Centro, con sus actividades y proyectos.
THIRD MOBILITY TO HELSINKI, FINLAND
OUR FIRST DAY
The Headmaster and Carmen Carrera have travelled to Helsinki, the capital of Finland, to take a course "Learning outside the classroom".
The course takes part of our third Erasmus project, "Plantfulness".
The objective is learning how to use "outdoor education" to provide students with a real learning, innovative education, learning how to discover, know and enjoy environment, not just nature but other places outside school building, too.
This educational approach has been gaining popularity in the United Kingdom and Northern Europe.
At the present, lots of teachers put faith in including Outside learning in the curriculum.
We are eighteen teachers from different countries participating in the course.
Today we have shown our schools through videos, digital presentations...and we have explained how we work at school. We have been sharing activities, projects, school functioning...

SEGUNDO DÍA
Hoy nos han introducido en el origen y significado de la sauna en la vida de los finlandeses, esa palabra es originaria de ellos y nosotros la hemos utilizado en multitud de ocasiones sin saberlo. Hay más número de saunas que de automóviles. La sauna es un lugar de encuentro, de limpieza espiritual y física.
Después de esto, hemos pasado a profundizar en “outdoor learning ”.
La educación en el exterior es un aprendizaje pragmático que implica una actividad pedagógica consciente. En este día hemos tratado la metodología, los lugares en los que se puede aplicar y cómo hacerlo.
Potencia la observación experimentando, la creatividad resolviendo problemas, la curiosidad proporcionando nuevos retos…
En Finlandia defienden esta forma de educar revelando sus beneficios. Si bien es verdad que en Educación Infantil existe un profesor para cada cuatro alumnos y en Primaria puede haber clases de veintiún alumnos pero acompañados de tres adultos, algo que es sustancialmente diferente de nuestro sistema.
Un gran punto a favor de los finlandeses es que lo que tienen lo aprecian, lo valoran y lo destacan, se sienten muy agradecidos por ello y además lo comparten.
Los participantes hemos tenido que echar mano de nuestros recuerdos en la escuela, hemos debatido y argumentado sobre lo que pensamos en relación con los beneficios de este tipo de educación.
Today we have been studying in more detail about the origin and meaning of the word sauna in the life of Finnish people.This word is an ancient Finnish word despite the fact that we have been used it several times without knowing it.
Finland has an impressive three million saunas, far outnumbering their cars. "Sauna" is a meeting point of physical and spiritual cleansing.
After that, we have been speaking about "outdoor learning".Outdoor education is a practical learning that implies a conscious pedagogical activity. We have arguing about methodology, places where we can do it and how to do it...
It boosts observation, through experimenting; creativity, solving problems; curiosity, providing new challenges.
In Finland, they defend this way to educate discovering their benefits. We have to say that this education can be possible thanks to the fact that there is one teacher for every four students in kindergarten and three adults accompanying a class of twenty-one students in Primary. This is a very different aspect from our educational reality.
Finnish people appreciate what they have, they emphasize the importance of education and they are very grateful with everything and besides, they share with the rest of the world.
We, as participants, have remembered our past time, we have revised our memories at school, we have been discussing what we think in relation to the benefits that this kind of education involves.
